# Quickstart

> Create and test your first Replier comment-to-DM automation.

This guide takes you from a new account to one live, tested automation.

## Before you begin

You need:

* Access to the Instagram account or Facebook Page that owns the post
* Permission to connect that channel through Meta
* A payment method for the 7-day Creator trial
* A post, public reply, DM, and destination link ready to use

## Create your first automation

<Steps>
  <Step title="Create your account">
    Sign up at [usereplier.com](https://usereplier.com), then open the dashboard.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Activate the Creator trial">
    Select **Activate Creator trial**, review the renewal terms, and complete Stripe checkout. Replier does not receive or store your full payment account number.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Connect a channel">
    Select **Connect Instagram** or **Connect Facebook**. Sign in through Meta, review the requested permissions, and choose the account or Page you want Replier to use.

      The channel appears under **Channels** with a connected status when comment listening is ready.

  <Step title="Choose posts">
    Pick one or more recent posts, paste a post URL, or choose **All future posts**. A future-post target starts with posts published after the automation is active.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Choose the trigger">
    Use **Specific keywords** for comments containing any saved word or phrase. Use **Any comment** when every non-own comment on the selected posts should trigger the automation.

  <Step title="Write the replies">
    Add the short public reply people see under their comment. Then write the private DM and add up to three link buttons.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Preview and turn it on">
    Check the post, comment, public reply, DM, and button preview. Select **Turn on automation**.

  <Step title="Test from another account">
    Comment from a social account other than the connected account. Confirm that the public reply and DM arrive, then open the DM button.

      The automation activity shows the DM, and click tracking updates after you open the button.

## After activation

Replier may offer to reply to eligible matching comments from the previous 7 days. Review the list before you send. The catch-up run starts with at most 100 comments and skips comments Replier has already handled.

<Tip>
  Put the exact keyword in your caption or video: “Comment **guide** and I’ll DM it to you.” A clear prompt is easier to test and gives you cleaner results.
