Open an automation from the dashboard to view or change it.

Use the editor, preview, and results

  • Editor: Change matching words, reply text, Follow Gate, and link buttons. Underlined text can be edited.
  • Preview: See how the replies look. Move between selected posts and public reply versions.
  • Results: Review matched responses, sent DMs, clicks, and recent activity. Understand the numbers.

Save or discard changes

Select Save changes after editing. You can also use Command+S on Mac or Ctrl+S on Windows. Unsaved changes means your edits are not live yet. Discard changes returns to the last saved version after confirmation. New matching responses use the saved settings. Messages already sent do not change. Removing a link button keeps its past click history in reports.

Add or remove posts and stories

Use the posts and stories section to add content from a connected account. The new content uses the same reply settings. These changes take effect when you save the automation. To remove a target, choose Remove from automation and confirm, then save. That target stops using the automation; other targets keep running. An individual story target expires when the story does. Unavailable content may have been removed or may no longer be accessible through Meta. Follow Gate can be used with mixed Instagram and Facebook targets. It checks Instagram follows only. Turn it off before removing the last Instagram target.

Pause and resume

Select Pause and confirm to stop new automatic replies. Select Resume and confirm to start listening again. A paused automation keeps its settings and history. After activation or resume, an eligible post automation may offer a preview of recent matching comments: the previous 7 days, up to 100 to start, excluding comments already handled. Review and choose Send replies or Skip. This setup prompt is for comments. For missed comments and messages elsewhere in your workspace, open Catch up.

Duplicate an automation

Use this to run the same replies on other posts. You need permission to create automations.
  1. Open the automation’s actions menu, in the list or in the editor.
  2. Choose Duplicate.
  3. Pick the posts or stories for the copy.
  4. Save the copy.
The copy keeps the trigger, public replies, DM, photo, buttons, Follow Gate, and opening and email steps. It does not keep the posts, because a post can have only one automation. Its name ends in “(copy)”. Change anything you like before you save. Your original does not change.

Delete an automation

Open More actions, choose Delete, and confirm.
Deleting stops future replies and removes the automation’s activity history from your Replier views. You cannot undo it from the dashboard. Use Pause for a temporary stop.
