Before you start

Set it up

  1. Sign up at Replier and open the dashboard.
  2. Select Activate Creator trial, review the trial details, and select Start free trial. No payment details are needed. A referral discount applies later if you choose a paid subscription at checkout.
  3. Open Channels and connect Instagram or Facebook. Sign in through Meta and grant the requested permissions. For Facebook, return to Replier, select the Pages you want, and confirm. Connection help.
  4. Choose one or more posts, the next post, or All posts. For Instagram, you can also choose an active story, the next story, or all stories.
  5. Choose Specific keywords, then add the words or phrases you expect people to use. Or choose the option for any comment or reply.
  6. Write a public reply for post comments, then your private message. Story replies only need the private message. You can add up to three link buttons.
  7. To ask Instagram users to follow first, turn on Ask them to follow first (Follow Gate). Facebook targets send the saved DM without a follow check.
  8. Check Preview, name your automation, and select Turn on automation.

Test it

Use a social account other than the connected account. Comment the keyword or reply to the selected story. Check that the message arrives and the link opens. If Follow Gate is on, finish the follow confirmation first. Open Results to check recent activity and clicks. If nothing arrives, use Troubleshooting.

Catch up on missed replies

After activation, you may see an offer to reply to up to 100 eligible comments from the previous 7 days. Review before sending. You can also open Catch up in the dashboard for missed comments and eligible Instagram and Facebook messages, including story replies, that Replier has received. See which replies can be recovered. Tip: Put the exact keyword in your caption, such as “Comment guide and I’ll DM it to you.”
